Jean Paul Gaultier’s work in his own words – an enduring creative legacy. Gaultier’s work is making clothes. He sketches his designs, but above all he fashions them on the bodies of his fitting models, creating with fabric. In front of the camera, Gaultier re-creates over twelve of his iconic creations. The dresses appear before our eyes as we follow Gaultier’s thought process and watch his ideas materialize. From corsets, cone bras, trompe-l’oeil and nautical designs to signature collections like the tattoos and the man-skirt, he explains it all with his legendary sense of humour.
